APPOINTMENTS
ARCHDIOCESE OF OTTAWA
(ENGLISH SECTOR)

The Most Reverend Marcel Gervais, Archbishop of Ottawa, is pleased to announce the following changes in pastoral appointments. These appointments take effect on July 1st 2006.

Pastors CHANGES

Rev. Pedro Arana, currently Pastor of St. Brigid’s, Ottawa, is appointed Pastor of Assumption Parish, Vanier.

Rev. Vincent Pereira, currently Pastor of St. Augustine Parish, is appointed Pastor of St. Theresa Parish, Ottawa, and will be working as Judicial Vicar of the Ottawa Regional Marriage Tribunal for two days a week.

Rev. Richard Siok, currently on sabbatical leave, is appointed Pastor of St. Augustine Parish, Ottawa.

Pastors RENEWALS

Rev. Stephen Amesse has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of Holy Spirit, Stittsville.

Rev. Virgil Amirthakumar has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of St. Bernard, Gloucester.

Rev. Herman Falke, S.C.J., has been granted a one-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of St. John the Evangelist, Osgoode, and St. Brigid, Manotick.

Rev. Joseph Le Clair has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of Blessed Sacrament, Ottawa.

Msgr. Robert Martineau has been granted a three-year term of his appointment as Rector of St. Patrick’s Basilica, Ottawa.

Rev. Joseph Muldoon has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of Good Shepherd, Gloucester.

Rev. Francis Scott has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of St. John the Apostle, Nepean.

Rev. Ernst Schoenhammer, O.M.I., has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of St. Albertus, Ottawa.

Rev. James Whelan has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of St. Margaret Mary, Cumberland.

Rev. Bosco Wong has been granted a three-year term extension of his appointment as Pastor of St. Basil, Ottawa.

Associate Pastors

Rev. Anthony Hannon, currently Associate Pastor of Divine Infant, Orleans, is appointed Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima, Ottawa.

Rev. Paul Nwaeze, currently Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima, Ottawa, is appointed Associate Pastor of Divine Infant, Orleans.

Rev. Ben St. Croix, CC, is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Mary, Ottawa.

Rev. Stephen Liang, who will be ordained as priest on June 3, 2006, is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Patrick, Fallowfield.

Others

Rev. Tim Amyot, O.S.M., currently Administrator of Assumption, Vanier, is appointed Associate Rector of Notre Dame Cathedral, Ottawa, with particular responsibility for the faithful worshipping at St. Brigid’s Church, Ottawa.

Rev. Thomas Bluger, currently Chaplain at Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus, has been granted a sabbatical leave to December 31, 2006.

Rev. Daniel Dubroy is appointed Chaplain at Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus.

Rev. Gerald Gahagan, currently Pastor of St. Theresa Parish, Ottawa, will retire from full-time ministry and will be available for replacement ministry.

Rev. Mark Slatter is given an extension of his study leave to December 31, 2006 in order to complete and defend his doctoral thesis.
