An engaging and challenging session of Adult Faith Development was held Sat., June 12th, 2004 as Joe Gunn, director of social affairs for the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops helped participants to explore the rich and provocative social teaching of the church. The afternoon shifted its focus to lived experience as three panellists, Mangalam Lena, religious sister of the Francisican order and director of Home-Based Spiritual Care, Julie Salach-Simard, pastoral counsellor for the Catholic Immigration Centre, and Lawrence Donegan, member of the West End Chaplaincy who works for affordable housing, all responded to the question, “How have these teachings taken flesh in my life?”
